With the All Star Break in full effect, this is a perfect time to look at how bad some of these teams are.  The WNBA has only 12 teams so it would be hard for someone not to have a good team- they’d have to have one of the best players and also be lucky with injuries.  However, some teams are just so terrible that even with a great player or two it is very difficult to win games.  Every week I am going to pick the team that is currently ranked lowest in my power rankings, and have them beat the best team in the league- what’s the worst that could happen?

Each season there has always been one team that doesn’t do so well, and this year it is the Tulsa Shock.  They currently sit at 1-10 and have a 7 point differential.  I am going to pick them to beat the Minnesota Lynx, who are apart of my power rankings top two with Phoenix.

differences

There are many natural comparisons made between teams in different sports, but I cannot think of another time where the comparison has been so obvious.  The Timberwolves have one of the best players in the league, Kevin Love, who many say is actually better than his Laker counterpart- Kobe Bryant.  I am going to pick him against any team he plays on because of his current hot streak, and I am going to keep winning.

lists

1) This would be a pretty fun feature if done right (and on time).  The problem is that people like me who actually follow the league, as well as those who follow it religiously, would know what teams you’re talking about and wouldn’t find your article very interesting.  I don’t think the casual fan even knows the Tulsa Shock or Minnesota Lynx exist (which is unfortunate).

2) There’s a difference between incorrect and an opinion: for example, saying that LeBron James is better than Kobe Bryant is incorrect (and not an opinion), but saying that LeBron James will be a first ballot hall of famer and Kobe Bryant won’t is simply your opinion.  Don’t try to hide behind opinions as statements of fact and you’ll be on the right track.

3) The article had no capital letters, no periods, no paragraph breaks, and no sentence structure.  I hope that wasn’t on purpose because if it was then you’re not actually writing an article- you’re just typing to type.

4) For the following reasons I cannot endorse this blog or any others like it:

a. This is another “just for fun” blog that does not offer any value to anyone.  The information found on this blog is easily accessible elsewhere (Yahoo! Sports, Wikipedia, etc.) and there’s no reason for me to come back next week.

b. There’s more writing wrong with this article than right; I’m not going to waste my time trying to edit it for you (I don’t work for free).  If this is your first time writing then just try to do it better next time.

c. I took the time to read this blog and “educate” you, but that wasn’t really necessary because there are thousands of other blogs out there just like yours that I could have chosen.  The only reason I read yours was because you e-mailed it to me (and by “e-mailed” I mean “asked someone else to send it to me”) and now that I have, there’s no point in contacting you back.
